Like the search for the perfect pair of shoes, our hunt for the
perfect latte will never really come to an end; but thanks to a new
coffee spot in the Plateau, we’re one step closer to java-nirvana.

At
Caffè ArtJava, latte making is a science. Skilled baristas work with a
top of the line espresso machine, used by the best of the best at
the world barista championships (yes, this exists). And even though
they pour out the most delicious café we’ve ever tasted, you might
be tempted not to drink it, as it’s also the prettiest looking cup
of joe in Montreal. With a flick of the wrist, these coffee experts
can make the frothy milk into a cute little heart design right in
your cup.
Don’t get too distracted by the latte art, because the menu
deserves a shout out as well. For breakfast, lunch or even a light
dinner, Caffè ArtJava has you covered. Choose from waffles, omelettes, French toast and gourmet sandwiches. We loved their
filo-pastry sandwich with kalamata olives, tomatoes, caramelized
onions, spinach, pesto and feta (for under $10).
In the difficult task of marrying function and beauty,
Caffè ArtJava has found success (now if only we could say that about our
shoes).
